During your first visit we will gather information about your dental and medical history, any concerns you may have about your dental health but more importantly, how we as your dental team can be most helpful to you to reach your dental goals.

Our state of the art tooth camera shown opposite will enlarge your tooth up to 100 times magnification. The Images of your teeth can then displayed on a large colour monitor as shown below. This helps us make the most accurate diagnosis such as finding decay or fine cracks in fillings or teeth. We will then show you exactly the condition of your tooth, explain what options are available before you decide to have any treatment! We have found patients then fully understand what is best for their tooth and are then able to make a fully informed decision. You can even see the "before" and "after" of your treatment immediately after your treatment is completed. Enhance Dental also digitally stores images of your teeth for reference, monitoring and treatment planning. Enhance Dental can also produce full colour digital photos of any images displayed on the colour LCD monitor.

We will then conduct a comprehensive examination of your dental health featuring a thorough examination of your teeth and the gum tissue, a routine oral cancer check and an assessment of the mechanics of your mouth, such as your bite, and the joints and muscles related to your bite.
Our objective during this appointment is to give you a working understanding of your dental health.
In order to be empowered to make active future choices for yourself, you need to have a fundamental knowledge of the current condition of your dental health.
During this examination you are invited to fully participate by asking questions and requesting further information.

Teeth Cleaning :
If you would like to have your teeth cleaned during this appointment, we can usually meet your request.
On some occasions time does not permit cleaning, due to the amount of information collected during the examination.
