A porcelain veneer is a thin layer of ceramic material that is bonded onto the polished enamel surface of a natural tooth. Porcelain veneers provide the most permanent results, and gives superior aesthetics than composite resin bonding. I have monitored a number of my patients over the past 20 years and found that their porcelain veneers are still as good as the day they were done. Studies also indicate that a porcelain veneer is as durable as a natural tooth.

The Porcelain veneer procedure requires at least two visits. The front of the tooth is slightly reduced and impressions are taken. An advanced dental technician works in conjunction with an Enhance Dental dentist to create the porcelain veneer.
