The number and length of appointments will vary depending on the type and quantity of treatment required. However, so long as gum health is good, changes to the smile can often be completed in only 2 or 3 visits when porcelain veneers are considered.

If porcelain veneers are used the teeth are usually prepared by reducing the enamel thickness to allow the veneers to fit flush on the teeth. This may be carried out under local anaesthetic if sensitivity is a concern. Accurate impressions are then taken and temporary veneers are fitted to your teeth until the next visit.

Our laboratory then uses the impressions and detailed instructions to custom fabricate your porcelain veneers.

At the next visit the temporaries are removed and the porcelain veneers are fitted and polished. Special light-cured adhesives are used to help ensure long-lasting results.
