Q6 Is the GlamSmile procedure painful? Will I need an injection or anaesthetic?
A. In most cases GlamSmile porcelain veneers requires no anaesthetic because there’s no or very minimal grinding down of tooth structure in most cases.^
Q7 How many dental visits are necessary to complete the GlamSmile veneer process?
A. After a consultation, only two more dental visits at Enhance Dental are required. The first of these visits is to take your “before” photographs and impressions of your teeth. This visit takes around 60 minutes to do. At the second visit, your GlamSmile veneers are placed. This visit takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes. ^
Q8 After my first appointment for photos and impressions, how long do I have to wait before I come back for my final appointment to have my GlamSmile veneers put on?
A. Usually 4-5* weeks. Unlike traditional porcelain veneers you don't need to wear temporary veneers since your teeth are not heavily ground down.
* In some cases 1-2 weeks extra is required to allow time for modifications of the digital images that are produced prior to the manufacture of the Glamsmile porcelain veneers.

Q9 Should I get my teeth cleaned before my first appointment?
A. If your teeth have not been cleaned within six months you should have a professional cleaning. A general 'check up' should also be done as part of your routine dental care. ^
Q10 With GlamSmile veneers can I use my favourite toothpaste? Can I still floss my teeth?
A. Yes, you will simply brush and floss your GlamSmile veneers just as you would your natural teeth. Proper dental hygiene is essential to maintaining your beautiful GlamSmile veneers. ^
Q11 My teeth have had work already done to them such as fillings or crowns. Can I still have GlamSmile veneers?
A. Since Glamsmile veneers can bond to most resin fillings and porcelain crowns you may already have you could still be suitable for GlamSmile veneers. Enhance Dental will confirm this with you before you proceed with the GlamSmile procedure. ^
Q12 Can I eat foods like nuts, corn on the cob and apples with GlamSmile veneers?
A. Yes! However, as with natural teeth care should be taken if you bite into extremely hard or sticky foods. ^
Q13 I would like to close gaps between teeth, can GlamSmile veneers work for me?
A. Yes, a “gap” is called a diastema, and can be successfully and permanently closed with GlamSmile veneers as long as the gaps are not wider than 3mm. Q14 I have tried whitening treatments but they don't whiten my teeth as much as I would like or I find them difficult to maintain. Can GlamSmile veneers be used for permanent tooth whitening?
A. Yes! GlamSmile veneers will whiten most discoloured or patchy teeth that do not respond well to whitening. The Glamsmile veneers, being porcelain, do not discolour internally. ^
Q15 My teeth are crooked, some even overlap but I prefer not to wear braces. Am I a GlamSmile candidate?
A. GlamSmile veneers can improve the shape, size and alignment of your teeth making them look straighter and more symmetrical. Since every GlamSmile veneer case is unique, your Enhance Dental dentist will assess your smile and provide you with treatment options specific to your individual needs.
